It's a time of gift exchanges, crazy shopping, and family bonding. Some have gone so far as to say that it's the most wonderful time of the year. I wonder why. Is it the gifts? The end of the year looming on the horizon? Quite honestly, I don't know. It's probably the "perspective" that everyone gains at this time of year.
It may be the fruitcake, or the cookies. It's probably the paper cuts from wrapping the gifts. Wait, it's the movies. The ones where the main characters save Christmas. Come to think of it, Christmas is always needing to be saved. It's like some kind of damsel in distress or something. It's probably the music. The songs that have been rerecorded and rewritten from infinity and beyond.
Now don't get me wrong, I love Christmas. I'm not Scrooge. Scrooge is not me.
Anyway, everyone loves this time of year because of the greatest story of all time. That's right. Drum roll please!
Drum da da dum!
The birth of JESUS!
So, Merry Christmas
